FAQ  & Requirements

I love Snoutsville already! What are the requirements to stay with you?

Awww! Thank you for asking the most important question ever! Here are some basic requirements to stay at Snoutsville:

  • Guests older than 18 months must be neutered or spayed (no exception);

  • Guests must be fully house-broken;

  • Guests must be comfortable being left alone for short periods without barking, pawning, panicking, chewing objects, etc. Extra charges might apply.

  • No aggressive dogs (2-strike rule);

  • Email a copy of your dog's up-to-date vaccines: Bordetella (yearly), Rabies (1 or 3 years), DHPP or DHLPP (1 or 3 years), and Canine Influenza (must cover both H3N2 and H3N8 strains);

  • Flea and tick medication must be given to protect the dog throughout their stay. We can administer flea and tick medication if coverage expires while your dog is with us.

  • A collar with a readable name tag and working owner’s phone number (address highly recommended)  must be worn at all times.

  • Guests must be groomed before coming to Snoutsville for an extended period (please check for fleas and ticks).

  • We care about our guests' health. Please inform us if your dog is ill or was recently ill.

  • $10 charge/day for pups younger than 18 months and seniors who need extra supervision and care.

Will you be providing food? My dog is on a special diet!

Suddenly switching diets might upset your dog's tummy. For this reason, we require that you supply the food your dog usually eats.  We have limited fridge and freezer space for fresh food. Please let us know before booking to make sure we can accommodate your request. 

I am planning a long vacation. How far in advance should I book?

We get booked pretty quickly during the holidays in general (MLK weekend, Easter, Memorial Day Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc). Our busiest months are the summer months and November-December. Holiday rates apply.

We recommend booking 1 or 1 1/2 months in advance for holidays and long stays. Non-refundable 50% deposit due at the time of reservation for stays longer than 2 nights. Please check out our Services page for prices.

I want to see how much fun my fur baby is having. Will you be posting pictures?

Absolutely! To check out what your fur babies are doing while you’re away, follow our Instagram page @snoutsville (we will be happy to tag you and even happier when you repost us!). If you like any of the pictures we post, please let us know and we will send them to you. 

I can't find a phone number for you. What's the best way to contact you?

Please refer to the contact information below. The quickest way to reach us is via Direct Messaging on Instagram. Do not worry! Our phone number will be provided during your first stay.

Something came up. I need to change my reservation or extend my stay. What's your modification/cancellation policy?

While we understand that plans may change we ask you to be considerate. Some important things to keep in mind when booking:

  • Late pick-ups and drop-offs will be charged an extra hourly fee. We offer a 15-minute grace period.

  • Last minute change of reservation for overnight stay: $30.

  • Stays longer than two nights and holiday stays of any length require a 50% non-refundable deposit due at the time of reservation. Deposits can be made via Zelle or check. The remaining balance is due before or at pick-up.

  • For daycare or stays of 2 nights or less, please cancel 48 hours before your Snout’s stay begins. If you cancel after the 48-hour deadline, you will be charged $30.

  • Full payment is required regardless of any early return by the client or if the client cancels the trip for reasons beyond Snoutsville's control. 

My dog had so much fun at Snoutsville! Thank you for taking such great care of them. Now it's time to pay! What's your preferred method? May I add a tip?

Absolutely! Glad you asked. We offer perks for birthdays, recommendations, and stays longer than 14 nights. See the details below:

  • If it’s your Snout’s birthday while they’re with us for a long stay, they’ll get a yummy treat AND a complimentary hike or walk (only for fully leash-trained pups).

  • When you recommend us to a friend and they book an overnight stay of two or more nights you will both receive a complimentary hike or walk (only for fully leash-trained pups).

  • We offer discounts for stays longer than 14 nights. Please inquire when you are ready to reserve.
